Ingredients in Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole
This is an easy Tater tot breakfast casserole recipe and great for mixing up the ingredients. Use up leftover meat and veggies and make it a new recipe every time.
POTATOES: Of course, tater tots are the base for this casserole. No tater tots? No problem! Layer some frozen or homemade hash browns instead. Sweet Potato Hashbrowns or some Homemade Shredded Hashbrowns would work too!
BACON: Everything tastes better with bacon. You can swap it for diced breakfast sausage, diced ham, or turkey sausage.
VEGETABLES: Onions and green & red bell pepper are flavorful and colorful! Swap out the onion for onion powder (or garlic powder) if that’s all you have on hand.
CHEESE: Mexican blend, sharp cheddar cheese, or pepper jack cheese all work well in this recipe.
Variations
Anything goes! Try sliced mushrooms, tomatoes, olives, or even broccoli pieces to give tater tot casserole a new flair! Add seasonings or spices to your liking.
