This easy recipe for blondies has to be one of the best goodies on the table! Tuck one into a lunchbox for a special treat, or make a batch to share at work!

What is a Blondie?

Blondies are sometimes called “blonde brownies,” or even “opposite brownies.”

It’s no secret that both blondies and brownies are moist, rich, and sweet! You can never stop at just one! But the main difference is that brownies are made with chocolate—powdered cocoa, to be exact. And blondies are made without.

So, if brownies are your specialty, try some blondies for a fun change. You can get creative and add pumpkin, or custard for Boston cream blondies too!

How to Make Blondies

It’s deliciously easy to whip up a batch of these beauties!

  • Melt butter and sugars on the stove. Let cool and then mix in the eggs and vanilla.
  • Mix the dry ingredients together and then add to the butter mixture.
  • Stir until just combined and then add the white chocolate chips.

Bake until cooked through and cool before cutting serving. If serving warm, top with a scoop of ice cream for a gooey, melty treat!

Optional Add-Ins

There are a lot of fun add-ins for blondies since their mild caramel flavor goes with everything!

  • Nuts: Chopped peanuts, pecans, or walnuts (Pro tip: Toast the nuts in a small pan to make them extra crunchy)!
  • Fruit: Dried cherries, cranberries, or apricots
  • Sweets: Peanut butter chips, toffee bits, M&Ms, sprinkles
  • Frosting: vanilla or chocolate buttercream frosting

How to Store

Blondies are best kept in an airtight container at room temperature for a few days — if they last that long!

They can even be frozen in zippered bags with the date on them.
